Jeff and Jack Morhet Memorial Trust Fund Established
Jeffrey Alan Morhet of Gilbert, Arizona, tragically died in a plane crash in Walsenburg, Colorado. He was born on March 29, 1969, in Pontiac, Michigan and was the beloved son of John and Barbara Morhet. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Deirdre Morhet, daughters, Alex and Gemma Morhet, son Theodore Morhet and brother, John Morhet Jr. Jeff Morhet was an accomplished biotech leader spanning all aspects of the industry, from discovery research and startups, to leading global clinical trials for all phases of human testing.
Prior to launching Diomics in 2010, Morhet was Chairman & CEO of a publicly traded biotech company he founded for the development and commercialization of biologics (monoclonal antibodies). Morhet earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Stephen F. Austin State University. He attended Arizona State University‘s Executive MBA Program, and studied at Harvard Business School. Jeff was very active in his community. As a young man he enlisted in the US Army. Later on, he served on the Board of Directors of St. Joe’s Hospital, was a member of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Posse, and founded a non-profit organization dedicated to the development of leaders in the life sciences industry.
Jeff also had numerous achievements, his most notable ones being the Governor’s Ed Dennison Business leader of the year award and the 40 under 40 award.
The Funeral Mass will be held for Jeff Morhet and his son Jack at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 2, at St Steven’s Catholic Church, 24827 S. Dobson Rd., Sun Lakes, AZ 85248.
