The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) will host its 11th annual Arizona Cancer Summit in September with an anticipated audience of 100 cancer advocates, public health and industry leaders.
The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network has been on the forefront of legislative policy success for cancer patients throughout its history, from Smoke Free Arizona to Medicaid Restoration and in 2022 Arizona became the second state in the country to pass biomarker testing coverage legislation!
Though cancer care is improving, cancer remains a major health concern as almost 40,000 Arizonans are expected to receive a new cancer diagnosis this year, and cancer remains the second leading cause of death in our state. Developing and executing proven health policies requires collaborative solutions from researchers, business leaders, providers, and policymakers. Join ACS CAN as we celebrate our success and discuss the future of cancer care and how we can work together to secure new investments in research, more inclusive patient access to care, and cancer prevention.
