Paradise Valley High School CREST Biotech Sustainability teacher, Michelle Landreville, was honored as the 2024 Teacher of the Year at the Governor’s Celebration of Innovation presented by the Arizona Technology Council and Arizona Commerce Authority.

Michelle Landreville was recognized for her remarkable contributions to STEM education, her dedication to improving Arizona’s innovative ecosystem, and for motivating students to reach their goals.
An accomplished professional educator with a passion for inspiring and mentoring students in the field of Bioscience. Ms. Landreville has over 26 years of teaching experience and is the Department Chair for the Center for Research Engineering Science & Technology (CREST) at Paradise Valley High School in Phoenix Arizona. She holds a Master of Arts in Science Teaching (M.A.S.T.) with distinction from Northern Arizona University.
Her commitment to educational excellence has been widely recognized. Ms. Landreville currently serves as the Secretary of the Arizona HOSA Board of Directors. In 2021, she was honored as the Arizona Outstanding HOSA Advisor and CREST Bioscience was awarded the Arizona Outstanding CTE Program Award. She received the prestigious National Association of Biology Teacher’s (NABT) Arizona Outstanding Biology Teacher in 2016 and the Arizona Science Teachers Association’s High School Science Teacher of the Year award in 2018. She has also contributed significantly to curriculum development and served on the Arizona Bioscience Consortium with the Arizona Department of Education.

In addition to her educational achievements, Ms. Landreville is an active member of several professional organizations, including HOSA Future Health Professionals, Arizona Science Teachers Association (ASTA), Arizona Bioindustry Association (AZBio), Arizona Science Education Leadership Association AzSELA, InnovATE Bio, and the National Association of Biology Teachers (NABT).
Ms. Landreville has dedicated her career to cultivating excellence in STEM education. She was a 2019 NEWT (Nanotechnology Enabled Water Treatment) RET in the Dr. Paul Westerhoff environmental engineering lab at ASU. Ms. Landreville is a 2023-2024 CDC Science Ambassador Fellow, a BioRad Fellow, and the 2024 Arizona Technology Council and Arizona Commerce Authority Teacher of the Year.
