AdvaMed Announces New Hybrid Structure for The MedTech Conference 2021

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The MedTech Conference, powered by AdvaMed, will host its trademark award-winning programming and networking opportunities in a new hybrid structure, combining the benefits of both in-person and virtual events, on September 27th – 30th. Attendees can participate in The MedTech Conference in a fully virtual environment, and they can also take advantage of limited-capacity in-person gatherings in Washington, D.C. and in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

“From the days the very first COVID-19 cases were discovered, to the weeks of stay-homes and shutdowns, to the months of safely opening businesses, schools, and community centers, the medical technology community was put to the test – and they delivered,” said Scott Whitaker, President and CEO of AdvaMed. “Our companies transformed their strategies and their operations overnight to meet the ever-evolving needs of health care providers and patients around the world. Still, applying the lessons learned throughout this crisis may be a harbinger of even greater changes to our health care system. That’s why this year’s conference is so important. We’re grateful to be able to gather the medtech industry together – both virtually and in person – for important discussions around where we’ve been and, more importantly, where we’re going next. Whether you’re planning to attend The MedTech Conference from your office, from your basement, or in Minneapolis or D.C., you can expect to leave with a better understanding of the key issues affecting our industry and a better connection to your fellow medtech change-makers.”

The MedTech Conference will feature virtual programming and partnering opportunities every day, and in-person offerings on three of the four days. All registrants will receive full access to the all-virtual platform, with options to add in-person participation opportunities as desired. The schedule and locations are as follows:

  • Monday, September 27 – Virtual programming and partnering, with an in-person participation opportunity in Washington, D.C. All in-person events will be livestreamed for the virtual audience.
  • Tuesday, September 28 – Virtual programming and partnering.
  • Wednesday, September 29 – Virtual programming and partnering, with an in-person participation opportunity in Minneapolis, Minnesota. All in-person events will be livestreamed for the virtual audience.
  • Thursday, September 30 – Virtual programming and partnering, with an in-person participation opportunity in Minneapolis, Minnesota. All in-person events will be livestreamed for the virtual audience.

Conference programming sessions cover a range of topics designed to include every facet of the medical technology ecosystem, including early-stage investment; regulatory, reimbursement, and legal/compliance issues; digital health, AI, and cybersecurity issues; and global market access issues, with concentrations on Europe, China, Brazil, and more. Conference networking and partnering sessions allow attendees to spark collaboration among and between business development professionals, investors, policymakers, members of the media, legal experts, consultants, distributors, manufacturers, and other important stakeholders. Also returning to The MedTech Conference this year is The MedTech Innovator Showcase and Finals Competition.
