Alex has over two decades of experience in the medical device industry successfully leading, managing, and bringing lifesaving technology to the market. His extensive work history includes a trifecta of experience in marketing, sales, and research & development. Alex is a driven, passionate, technical, and clinical business professional that thrives on determining the unmet needs in healthcare and collaborating with experts to provide solutions to help patients, physicians, and administrators.
Alex has held numerous positions with increasing responsibility. He started his career in 1997 as a microbiologist at Bard Peripheral Vascular and after one year transitioned into an engineering role. Alex’s primary engineering responsibilities included designing and developing covered stents grafts and a delivery system for inferior vena cava filters. In 2005, Alex moved into a sales consultant role for Becton Dickinson Medical Surgical Systems selling intravenous catheters, anesthesia trays, scalpels, flush syringes, injection needles, and sharps collectors. In 2009, he became a NeuroSpecialist for Codman, a Johnson & Johnson Company, selling neuro implants, electrosurgical, opening, closure, and neuro critical care devices. In 2012, Alex transitioned into a marketing role working for Bard Peripheral Vascular, now BD Peripheral Intervention. He started his marketing career focused on angioplasty balloons and most recently has been focused on ideation for peripheral arterial disease, end stage kidney disease, and oncology.
Alex has over 10 U.S. patents. He holds a BS in Chemistry from Arizona State University and a MBA from the University of Phoenix.
