Shari O’Quinn

Medical Functions Leader
Shari was born and raised in Virginia, where she graduated with a B.A. from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. As a student, she worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator at the University of Virginia Medical School, developing an interest in the process of bringing new medical products to market to address the needs of patients with cardiovascular disease.
She later worked as a consultant for several years at Arthur A. Checchi and Quintiles (now IQVIA), advising medical device companies on developing global clinical and regulatory strategies for the commercialization of implantable cardiovascular and renal care devices.
In 1998, Shari transitioned to industry, where she held various executive leadership roles at companies such as Gambro, CryoLife, C.R. Bard, Aptus Endosystems, TriVascular, and Endologix. These roles focused on ensuring patient access to the latest aortic and peripheral vascular medical products.
Most recently, Shari joined W.L. Gore as the leader of Medical Functions, where she oversees global Clinical, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and Health Economics and Reimbursement functions.
