The study measures workforce needs of Arizona life science companies in the biotech, medtech, health-IT, agricultural. and industrial biotech sectors. Arizona Life Science and Healthcare organizations of all sizes are encouraged to participate.
The Arizona Bioindustry Association (AZBio) has launched its 2023 Life Science and Workforce Study in partnership with the Coalition of State Bioscience Institutes (CSBI) and the Council of State Bioscience Associations (CSBA).
The results will be included in a 2023 Arizona Life Science Workforce Report and as part of a national report of the Coalition of State Bioscience Institutes (CSBI), both of which will be released at BIO next June. The national report will inform a National Life Science Talent Summit later that month at the National Academies of Science with industry, academic and governmental representatives.
All Arizona Life Science and Healthcare organizations are encouraged to participate.
Opportunities for Arizona organizations to participate in the interview and survey phase of this study will end on February 28, 2023.

Leadership Interviews
AZBio Team Member Dylan Peay will conduct short Zoom-based interviews with CEO’s and site leaders as part of the study process. These interviews will focus on overall workforce trends and talent needs specific to your Arizona Operations. Interview questions will be provided in advance via email after you schedule your interview.
HR and Workforce Teams – Take the Hiring Survey
AZBio is collaborating with TEConomy and other partners across the country to assess the most pressing talent needs of the life science industry. This real-time data is extremely valuable for our growing life science sector in Arizona as we work with legislators, academic institutions, and other stakeholders to make certain we are developing the right talent to address our industry’s critical workforce needs.
HR and Workforce team leads in our healthcare and life science community, are encouraged to complete this brief (~20-minute) survey by no later than February 28, 2023. Individual responses will be confidential and only reported in aggregate with responses from other bioscience companies. Ideally, we would only like to include your company name in a list of responding companies in the report.
