As you may know, the Small Business Innovation Research program funds a diverse portfolio of startups and small businesses across technology areas and markets to stimulate technological innovation, meet federal research and development (R&D) needs, and increase commercialization to transition R&D into impact. SBIR/STTR are a U.S. government funding program, coordinated by the Small Business Administration.
The University of Arizona Center for Innovation (UACI) is hosting a hybrid event to livestream portions of the Arrowhead Center SBIR/STTR Innovation Summit where small businesses, federal program managers, innovation ecosystem representatives, and other experts will convene.
Participants will learn about each SBIR/STTR funding agency and NAVSEA SBIR topics before the solicitation window opens in January. This is your chance to begin planning ahead.
Key takeaways
- Hear directly from agencies participating in the SBIR/STTR programs about their funding priorities
- Learn how to create a proposal package that stands out from the crowd
- Learn about funding opportunities, including the topics for NAVSEA
- Meet one-on-one with a NAVSEA SBIR Program Manager and local resources for entrepreneurs and small businesses
