The Healthy Longevity Global Competition, founded by the U.S. National Academy of Medicine and supported by J&J Innovation is a global movement to extend the human healthspan by accelerating research, innovation, and entrepreneurism in healthy longevity. Awards of $50,000 are available. Apply before February 24, 2020.
The Healthy Longevity Global Competition was founded by the U.S. National Academy of Medicine (NAM). The competition will unfold in parallel with the NAM’s Global Roadmap for Healthy Longevity, an international commission that will assess available evidence and recommend strategies for global societies to maintain the health and productivity of aging populations.
The competition is in 3 phases:
Catalyst Phase
Accelerator Phase
Accelerator Awards will provide awards worth $500,000 USD or more to meritorious awardees who have demonstrated significant progress and achieved proof of concept. Although Accelerator Awards are open to anyone, winners of Catalyst Awards will be well positioned for Accelerator funding. The Accelerator phase is expected to begin in 2021.
Grand Prize
The Grand Prize will serve as the capstone of the competition by rewarding the achievement of a bold and transformative innovation. One or more grand prize(s) of up to $5 million USD will be awarded for achievement of a breakthrough innovation that extends the human health span. Although the Grand Prize is open to anyone, winners of Accelerator Awards will be well positioned for the prize. The Grand Prize phase is expected to begin in 2023.
