This Valentine’s Week… take a minute to share what you do and why you love it.
Telling people that you care about them is a long standing Valentine’s tradition.
Showing people that you care makes a lasting impact.
Few industries can demonstrate how they care for others better than our life science and healthcare industry.

So why do we do what we do?
It’s pretty simple. We care. That’s why Valentine’s Week is a great time to spread the word.
Throughout the month of February, Arizona’s SciTech festival boasts a calendar full of events to encourage youth to get excited about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) careers. This is a great thing for our state and a wonderful opportunity for our kids (and their parents too.)
You may or may not have time to attend a SciTech event, but there is one simple thing that each and every one of us can do to help spread the word. Reach out to just one young person and share what you do and why you love it.
We all know young people. They are our sons and daughters, nieces and nephews, grandkids and neighbors. Take just 5 minutes out of your week to share something “cool” with them. Let them know what you do and more importantly why you do it.
According to the Flinn Foundation, the bioscience industry in Arizona employs close to 100,000 people across our state. If each one of us shared our love of what we do and how it helps people with just 1 child, imagine the impact we could make.
Who knows, we might just inspire a new generation.
