$30K, professional connections, and support await six Arizona bioscience firms
The 2021 application for the Flinn Foundation Bioscience Entrepreneurship Program is now open.
The program provides $30,000 in funding support for up to six firms each year administered through a nonprofit partner, a professionally developed, yearlong plan specific to the needs of each firm, and a one-year membership on Arizona’s Bioscience Roadmap Steering Committee, comprised of the state’s bioscience, academic, and policy leaders.
To date, 40 early-stage Arizona bioscience firms have benefited from the competitively selected program, which has distributed nearly $1.2 million in funding and facilitated new connections and networks.
To participate, Arizona companies must be engaged in the commercialization of bioscience research and biotechnology and/or the sale of products in the areas of:
- Medical devices and equipment;
- Drugs, pharmaceuticals, and diagnostics;
- Agricultural feedstock and chemicals;
- Research, testing, and medical labs; or
- Bioscience-related distribution.
