Respect for donors and their families, company expansion, and community-driven initiatives characterize emerging culture of growth for Pinnacle Transplant Technologies.
In 2014 AZBio recognized the team at Pinnacle Transplant Technologies as one of the select few companies that have achieved outstanding milestones in the past 18 months with an AZBio Fast Lane Award highlighting the company’s significant progress made in regulatory approvals, certifications, collaborations, funding awards, product launches, and job growth. Since that memorable night at the AZBio Awards, the team has been accelerating in the fast lane.
2015 has already been a memorable year for the Phoenix-based tissue bank which manufactures transplantable allografts from donated cadaveric bone and tissue.
In May of 2015, the company earned the 2015 IMPACT Business of the Year (under 250 employees) and Entrepreneurial Excellence awards from the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce; it was also recognized as a key partner in the chamber’s Phoenix Forward economic development initiative with the Arizona Commerce Authority and City of Phoenix; and it followed that up last month with the hiring of a third shift of employees, bringing its total growth to eighty full-time “associates,” as it calls them. According to CEO Russ Yelton, Pinnacle’s success starts with its culture.
“We have incredible reverence for our donors and their families,” he said. “We make it our mission to positively impact as many lives as we can with their wonderful gifts.”
Yelton adds that the company believes strongly in investing in its associates as well as the broader community to further its goodwill. He specifically cited the expansion of internal communication efforts and benefits packages as well as the incorporation of Pinnacle associates into community service initiatives, such as a recent clothing drive to benefit the Phoenix Rescue Mission.
“We are a close-knit family that treats one another with respect, and we take pride in the amazing work that we do,” said Arthur Williams, Core Manager.
It is precisely this culture of accountability and support which has contributed to a 97% employee retention rate and the company’s addition of more than 30 associates this year to date, according to Yelton.
