Xeridiem has expanded the leadership team with the appointment of Scott Arden as Product Development Director, reporting to Xeridiem President, Joseph Lee. Mr. Arden comes to Xeridiem from iSolvex, where he served as Owner.
“Scott brings 10 years of healthcare-industry experience and an in-depth understanding of new product innovation,” stated Joseph Lee, “he adds to our core strength in the design and delivery of highly competitive and robust medical devices.”
Mr. Arden has extensive experience in new product development and operational excellence, specializing in Lean and Six Sigma. At Rain Bird Corporation, he helped to grow sales by managing the development and release of new products. In addition, he served as a cost reduction leader, working with multiple plants to record significant annualized savings. As Engineering Manager, he assigned and managed engineering resources, co-developed training in Design For Six Sigma, and helped an innovative project team to win the On-Time Engineering Award. As a Manager at Merck & Co., Mr. Arden led Six Sigma / Lean Project teams intended to improve overall equipment effectiveness, to reduce costs, and to increase capacity in operations. In addition, he mentored and motivated Black Belt candidates to achieve important business results while building a foundation of excellence in problem solving. While at Becton Dickinson and Company, Mr. Arden led medical-device innovation teams, driving efforts to achieve meaningful growth through product differentiation. As a consultant, he wrote a New Product Development procedure designed to improve the success rate of projects at a French company serving international markets.
Mr. Arden received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and a Masters of Business Administration from Columbia University. In addition, he’s a Six Sigma Black Belt and an expert at designing and performing experiments to guide development and manufacturing. Mr. Arden is fluent in French.
